KeepRite was founded in Brantford, ON Canada in 1945. In 1981, Inter-City Gas Corp. of Winnipeg, MB purchased the controlling interest in KeepRite. In 1991, KeepRite formed a business unit division under Inter-City Products Corp. In 1994, National Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Corp. acquired KeepRite Refrigeration from Inter-City Products Corp.
Inter-City Products Corp. later became International Comfort Products (ICP) which was acquired by Carrier in 1999.
